How BlogrBee is Tackling Bot Traffic and Empowering Creators with Google Analytics

Did you know that almost 50% of the internet is made up of bots?

That statistic sounds almost too wild to believe, but it’s true. I’ve seen examples of it firsthand.

I’ll see BlogrBee’s prefiltered analytics from Cloudflare, and then our filtered analytics on our server, and there is a drastic cut.

We further enhance our filtering methods by removing visits and views that only last a few seconds.

If a visit only last for a few seconds, to us that means one of two things: one, they didn’t mean to visit our website and clicked off, or two, they weren’t a person.

As AI and automation grow in every sector, the online world is flooded with bot traffic—everything from harmless search engine crawlers to more malicious bots that skew data and undermine trust.

At BlogrBee, protecting the integrity of our platform is one of my top priorities. I founded BlogrBee with a vision of giving creators the space to thrive and ensuring they’re fairly compensated for their hard work. But with the proliferation of AI, we’re facing challenges that force us to be proactive and vigilant.

But before I get into that, I’d like to take a moment to share some exciting updates about how we’re navigating these challenges while also staying true to our mission of fair revenue-sharing.

We’ve Integrated Google Analytics for Better Insights

I’m happy to announce that we’ve officially integrated Google Analytics into BlogrBee. This is a big milestone for us as it means creators can get more accurate insights into how content is performing, who’s engaging with it, and where traffic is coming from.

This level of data is essential for creators to understand their audience and refining their content strategies.

By knowing exactly how an audience is engaging with content, we can ensure that revenue-sharing on BlogrBee is based on real, human engagement—not skewed by fake or bot traffic.

It’s a positive step forward in our commitment to fair compensation for every creator on the platform.

Now about those bots…

A report by Imperva (a leading cybersecurity company) revealed that 49.6% of internet traffic in 2023 came from bots. Even more concerning, 32% of that traffic is generated by bad bots—the ones designed to mess with platforms, manipulate traffic data, or even commit fraud.

For creators, these bots can have a direct impact on content. If bot traffic inflates your metrics, it could give you a false sense of engagement. Worse, it can undermine the trust between creators and their audiences.

That’s why we’re already implementing strategies to filter out bot traffic from our analytics. Your metrics will reflect real human views and engagement, giving you a true sense of your content’s reach and impact.

We’re also continuously exploring new ways to ensure bots don’t interfere with your content’s visibility or your earnings potential, including a serious consideration into changing how potential users will be able to join the BlogrBee community.

Our goal is to keep BlogrBee a space where real creators and real audiences thrive.

Why this matters.

The rise in bot traffic is a challenge not just for BlogrBee, but for every platform and creator out there.

But instead of being overwhelmed by it, we’re using this moment to double down on what makes BlogrBee special—our commitment to transparency, fairness, and supporting our creator community.

By implementing tools like Google Analytics and tackling the bot problem head-on, we’re taking essential steps to ensure that the integrity of BlogrBee remains intact.

Our mission is, and always will be, to create a platform where creators are fairly compensated based on the real value they bring.

I know the path ahead won’t be without challenges, but I’m excited about what’s to come.

BlogrBee is growing, and with every step, we’re making sure that you—our creators—are given the tools, support, and fair compensation you deserve.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me!
